Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Policy version 2026-10-07
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies engage.stravax.ai uses, why we use them, and how you control them. A cookie is a small file this site stores on your device. localStorage and sessionStorage do the same job in a different technical form, usually to remember something for longer or only for your current visit. A pixel (also called a tracking pixel or a web beacon) is a small, often invisible image or script request that reports back that a page loaded, without necessarily storing anything on your device at all. This page covers all three.
The four categories
- Strictly necessary. Keep the site working and secure, and remember your cookie choice. We do not ask for consent to set these, because the site cannot function properly without them.
- Functional. Load extra features you ask for. This site uses none today.
- Analytics. Help us understand how visitors use the site, in aggregate, so we can improve it.
- Marketing. Measure advertising: which ads led to a visit, and how our Google Ads campaigns perform.
The cookies and storage keys we use
This table lists the cookies, storage keys and requests that our own code and Google's tags read or write on this site. "Party" shows whether the row is set by us directly, by Google, or by our hosting provider, each under its own policy.

Consent region lookup | Stravax | Looks up your country to apply the right cookie rules, from a Stravax service on another host | Strictly necessary | Not a cookie | First party, different host |
__cf_bm and other security cookies | Our hosting provider | Bot management and security | Strictly necessary | __cf_bm about 30 minutes; others vary | First. Set only when the matching security feature engages |
localStorage.engageCurrencyManual | Stravax | Remembers a currency you picked by hand on the pricing page | Strictly necessary | Until you clear it, and only after you pick a currency yourself | First |
sessionStorage.engageGeoCountry | Stravax | Caches your country for this session so the pricing page shows the right currency | Strictly necessary | Session | First |

Our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account, with ads personalisation switched off, so it also serves advertising measurement. Google signals (cross-device and demographic features) is switched off for our Google Analytics property.
Where consent is required, Google's tags do not load until you accept analytics. If you turn analytics off, analytics storage stops at once and the tags no longer load from your next page. When marketing is off, Google's tags are told not to read or write advertising cookies and not to use your personal data for advertising. Cookieless measurement requests may still be sent while Google's tags are loaded.
How these categories map to our consent settings
Behind the scenes, your choice sets seven technical signals (Google's Consent Mode).
| Our category | Consent Mode signal(s) it controls |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | security_storage (always granted) |
| Functional | functionality_storage, personalization_storage |
| Analytics | analytics_storage |
| Marketing | ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization |
The record we keep of your choice
When you make a cookie choice, we store a record of it:
- which categories you accepted;
- the time;
- the policy version you accepted it under;
- your IP address (only as a salted one-way hash, never in a readable form);
- your browser's user-agent string;
- the country and region our hosting provider derives for your connection;
- which site you were on;
- a random reference ID.
We keep each record of a choice for 36 months from the day we record it (the 12 months it stays active, then 24 more), with your IP address stored only as a salted one-way hash.
The sx_consent cookie is set on the stravax.ai domain, so our other stravax.ai sites can read it. Where consent is required, each site asks again if your choice was made under a different policy version.
Other companies that receive data through these technologies
We disclose data to Google and to our hosting provider as described here and in our Privacy Policy. Google's privacy policy gives more detail.
How consent works
- In the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Quebec, Turkey and Nigeria: a cookie banner appears on your first visit. You can accept all, reject all, or manage your choices, and rejecting is as easy as accepting. Analytics and marketing stay off until you accept.
- Everywhere else: analytics and marketing cookies are on by default and no banner appears. This is not recorded as consent. You can turn them off at any time with "Cookie settings".
- Browser privacy signal: If you have no saved choice for this policy version, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as turning marketing off. Your saved choice takes precedence.
- Strictly necessary cookies always run.
- Changing your choice: use the "Cookie settings" button above or in the footer of every page.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may affect how parts of the site work.
